24/7 support

The Laramie Youth Crisis Center is a free, confidential*, 24/7, 365-days-a-year care service for individuals and families navigating trauma, mental health struggles, family disturbances, or child safety concerns.

Youth & Family Assistance

Cathedral Home’s Laramie Youth Crisis Center (LYCC) operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week as a crisis care center supplying mental health support, youth shelter care, individual and family counseling, respite, and group home services for youth (0-17) and their families.

Independent Living Program

We offer coaching and skill-building activities to support young people preparing for adulthood. Staff help clients develop skills including education, employment, housing, and connection to community resources.

Services are offered to any youth who wishes to participate, with additional resources available to young adults between 14-20 years old who have previously been in a court-ordered, out-of-home placement.

Group Home Services

This community-based program provides 24-hour supervision and support to youth in a safe home-like setting. While living in the group home, youth are involved in day-to-day activities, such as preparing meals, cleaning, attending school, and planning group activities.

Youth receive individualized support to help address their needs. During this process, parents and caregivers are supported in learning new strategies to support a successful transition home.

24/7 Crisis Line

Our crisis hotline is available 24/7/365 to offer support and solutions for youth & families. We value promoting self-efficacy, autonomy, and choices in the care process.

Our trauma-responsive compassionate professionals are available 24/7 to answer questions, offer support, provide resource coordination, and present practical steps to navigate crises.

Family Care Coordination

This is a family-led program is designed to help families feel supported and empowered to achieve their goals. Our team works with each family to identify areas of support.

We focus primarily on family mental and physical health, educational and career attainment, prosocial activities, and skill-development, parenting techniques, and improving family functioning.

Youth Shelter Services

Crisis services are tailored to each individual and often include a shelter stay for youth (0-17). Intake plans are driven by each client and their family to identify and address crisis and long-term needs.

We regularly complete assessments to further identify needs, develop a focused treatment plan and provide individual and family counseling.

Respite Care

We offer respite care to support family resiliency and unity by offering ongoing therapeutic breaks. Our Crisis Counselor coordinates this service in collaboration with the child and family.

Families lead the process in partnership with their support system which may include; community-based mental health providers, other relevant providers, and when applicable the Department of Family Services (DFS).
